(Artemether + Lumefantrine) Susp

INDICATIONS:

Artemax Plus (Artemether / Lumefantrine) is indicated for the treatment of uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria including multi-drug resistant strains of P. falciparum. Artemax Plus/DS is also effective against the blood stage of P. vivax but not active against hypnozoites. Artemax Plus/DS (Artemether / Lumefantrine) must be used for the malarial infection acquired in areas where the parasites may be resistant to other anti-malarial drugs.

“WHO recommends Artemether / Lumefantrine as a first line treatment for the acute uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria for both multi drug resistant areas & drug sensitive areas.”

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

5 to less than 15 kg = 1 TSF BD for three days.

Adverse events associated with the use of Artemax Plus/DS include, Headache, Anorexia , Dizziness , Asthenia , Pyrexia , Cough , Vomiting.

INSTRUCTIONS

Protect from moisture, heat and sunlight.

Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
